I write in reference to the notice recently announced by Norway-Paris Solid Waste of new rules going into effect on Sept. 1.
Strict enforcement of a new “clear bag rule” — really? I have watched, more times than one can count, people dumping material not allowed.
I have asked attendants why those individuals are not spoken to. The reply has been “they do not pay me enough to get into arguments over the situation.”
Cardboard, other than pizza boxes, wood and metal is put into the hopper. The other day a fellow opened his garbage bags, shook the garbage out, then tossed the empty bag in. Down below, cardboard to be broken down first is a joke.
My thoughts on this are “you first.” Enforce the rules we have, and then we can talk about clear bags.
