DIXFIELD — Jonathan Hines, Jayvin Saint Louis and Jacolby Jackson scored two goals apiece as the Spruce Mountain boys soccer team defeated Dirigo 9-1 on Saturday.
Wyatt Foss added a goal and three assists for the Phoenix (2-3), while Myles Godbey had a goal and two assists and Maxwell Turner a goal and an assist. Jacolby Jackson and Joshua Jackson each had an assist.
Colby Averrill scored for Dirigo (0-4), assisted by Mitchell Giberson. Kyle Lund made 10 saves in goal.
CAMDEN HILLS 5, MT. BLUE 1: Colby Pierce scored twice as the Windjammers earned the win in Farmington.
Mac Pierce, Soren Johnson and Kylian Babik also scored for Camden Hills (5-0-1).
August Garcia scored for Mt. Blue (2-3).
FIELD HOCKEY
SKOWHEGAN 3, OXFORD HILLS 0: Elli Quinn scored two goals to lead the River Hawks to the win in South Paris.
Faith Pease had the other goal for Skowhegan (4-1-0) and Dasia Alberico and Grace Mayo had an assist apiece.
Koa Smith made 10 saves for the Vikings (0-4-0).
GIRLS SOCCER
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0, LAKE REGION 0: Haley Carson made 12 saves for Gray-New Gloucester (2-2-1) and Jordan Blanton stopped eight shots for Lake Region (1-5-1) in a scoreless tie in Naples.
FRIDAY’S FOOTBALL
LEWISTON 10, BANGOR 7: Michael Caron kicked a 37-yard field goal with 4.7 seconds left to give the Blue Devils the win in Bangor.
The Blue Devils (2-0) had a chance earlier in the game to break the tie, but they fumbled the ball away on the Rams’ 1-yard line.
Caron also kicked a game-winning field goal last year against South Portland.
SOUTH PORTLAND 42, OXFORD HILLS 7: Easton Healy rushed for two touchdowns, including the go-ahead TD with 17.6 seconds remaining in the first half, and the Red Riots (3-0) won in Paris.
South Portland took advantage of a good break in the first quarter, gaining possession after a Red Riots punt hit the foot of an Oxford Hills player. Alex Horton eventually scored on a 25-yard run.
Oxford Hills (0-3) tied the game in the second quarter on an 11-yard pass from Carter Wyman to Cameron Pulkkinen. The score was set up by a long pass from Wyman to Brady Delamater.
The Red Riots regained the lead just before halftime, however, when Healy found the end zone from the 4.
South Portland then started the second half with a long drive that Healy ended with a 17-yard run.
Connor Gerard added two short TD runs in the fourth quarter, and Christopher Salamone ripped off a 47-yard scoring run.
WELLS 54, LISBON 6: Dom Buxton scored four touchdowns in the first half as the Warriors rolled in Wells.
Buxton reached the end zone on runs of 3, 10 and 64 yards, then scored on a 52-yard hook-and-lateral with 2 seconds left in the half after Riley Murphy caught a short pass from Cal Moody.
Wells (3-0) also scored on the final play of the first quarter – a 5-yard run by Eli Potter. Nate DeMauro, Sabin Piatek and Robert Stevens each added a TD run.
Lisbon (1-2) avoided a shutout when Carson Savoy broke free for a 77-yard run in the fourth quarter.
