I would like to offer thanks to my friend, state Rep. Sawin Millett, for his many years of service to our community.
Agreeing with his positions or not, I always appreciated Sawin as a dedicated community servant with our best interest at heart.
As we seek a replacement who will offer their dedication, best thoughts and hard work, I will be supporting Joan Beal.
I worked for years with Joan’s husband Richard in the Oxford Hills clergy. I came to know and appreciate Joan for her deep dedication to the common good.
Like Sawin, Joan is a retired educator. She has an impressive list of activities on her resume for the town of Norway, the larger Oxford Hills community and beyond.
I hope my neighbors join me in supporting Joan Beal as our next state representative for House District 81.
