DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Gardner Roberts Memorial Library in Hanover will hold its 15th annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Once again, I’m asking you to let people know about this fun event. We will have live music, a yard sale, book sale, crafts and a craft material sale, a food court and many beautiful raffle baskets, as well as a quilt raffle. We will also have a wishing well for young children. This is our big fundraiser, and all proceeds go to the library. Thank you for your valuable service. I look forward to reading Sun Spots every day. — Lynne, no town
DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lovell Historical Society will present a Fall Harvest Festival from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. This event should have something of interest for all members of the family. There will be a cider demonstration, fall craft activities for children, dealers will be selling their wares, and weavers and spinners will demonstrate their craft. Additionally, traditional “fiddle” music will be performed by Birds on a Wire.
Inside the ell of the 1839 Moses Hutchins House, which serves as the Research Center, there will be a pie sale and an abundant refreshment table. The Society’s museum, situated in the recently restored main house, will be open for viewing. Anyone interested is warmly invited to attend this festival. The Society is at 551 Main St. (Route 5) opposite the Lake Kezar Country Club. The event is free and open to the public. — No name, no town
