FARMINGTON — Edward Little survived a scare on the road with a 3-2 overtime win over Mt. Blue in Class A North boys soccer action Wednesday.
Khalid Mohamed, Ben Cole and Abdi Adow scored for Edward Little (7-4-1). Will Wallingford, Mudasir Hassan, Paulo Mekengo had an assist apiece.
Nate Zeliger and Dylan Hamlin each had a goal for the Cougars (4-8). Augusti Garcia assisted on both goals.
Each team’s goalie, Kooper Keller of Mt. Blue and Max Kimball of Edward Little, finished with six saves.
CARRABEC 7, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Seth Price’s three-goal performance led the way in the Cobra’s (11-2-1) victory over the Phoenix i(4-9) n North Anson.
Zachary Crawford, Peter Vicneire and Logan Caldwell also scored for Carrabec.
Blake Gemelli made nine saves and Braydn Fournier made five for Spruce Mountain.
FIELD HOCKEY
DIRIGO 3, OAK HILL 0: Three players scored as the Cougars improved to 9-2 with a victory over the Raiders (3-10) in Dixfield.
Alyssa Ellis opened Dirigo’s scoring in the second quarter, Emily Woods made it 2-0 in the third, and Lana Waite added a fourth-quarter penalty stroke.
Cougars goalie Keira Reny made five saves, while Oak Hill’s Ella Martin stopped eight shots.
HALL-DALE/MONMOUTH 6, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Hannah Rauch had a had trick and an assist as the Bulldogs won in Rumford.
Torie Tibbetts had two goals and two assists for Hall-Dale (9-3), while Makayla Norton also scored and Faith McDougal added an assist. Goalie Jade Graham made 10 saves.
Melina Byam scored for Mountain Valley (2-9), and Isabella Dupuis (12 saves) and Emily Gilbert (two) split time in goal.
GIRLS SOCCER
WINTHROP 4, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2: Zion Armstrong had two goals an an assist as the Ramblers won in Winthrop.
Bella Baehr and Abby St. Clair also scored for Winthrop (7-5). Kylee Savage was in goal.
Madison Karhonen and Ashley Nelson scored for Spruce Mountain (1-9-1), and Tyoaka Hodgkin was in goal.
