Two native seed sowing workshops, offered by University of Maine Cooperative Extension and McLaughlin Garden and Homestead, are set for 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Tidewater Farm, 271 Falmouth Road, in Falmouth and 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at the UMaine Extension office, 9 Olson Road in South Paris.
These workshops are for anyone interested in a cost-effective way to grow more native plants for their gardens. Participants can learn the basics of successful native seed starting and sow their own seeds to take home. More workshop dates and locations will be added soon.
