SOUTH PARIS — Bree Griffin’s tie-breaking goal with 3:18 remaining in regulation lifted the Mt. Blue field hockey team to a 2-1 win over Oxford Hills on Saturday.
Grace Allen assisted on Griffin’s goal. Avery Tinker also scored for Mt. Blue (10-4), assisted by Kali Judkins. Gwen Lesperance had two saves in goal.
Abby Toohey scored for Oxford Hills (1-12), with Lily Hammond assisting. Goalie Kya Smith had eight saves.
BOYS SOCCER
EDWARD LITTLE 4, OXFORD HILLS 0: Four different players scored for the Red Eddies in their win at South Paris.
Lucas Guihomat, Muhudin Jibril, Ben Cole and Joao Santana scored for Edward Little (7-4-1), while Jibril, Cam Roy and Mudasir Hassan had assists. Max Kimball made five saves in goal.
Quincy Edwards had nine saves for Oxford Hills (2-9).
WINTHROP 1, CONY 0: Nick Wagner scored the only goal of the game as the Ramblers won in Winthrop.
Jaxon August made six saves for Winthrop (4-6-3).
Cony fell to 3-9-0.
LINCOLN ACADEMY 5, LEAVITT 0: EJ Hunt finished with two goals and an assist, Cole Workman also scored twice, and the Eagles (8-4-1) blanked the Hornets (4-8-2) in Newcastle.
Hunt and Pedro Mayans took turns setting up a goal by each other in the first half. Workman then struck twice in the second half before Hunt completed the scoring.
