Rep. Mike Lajoie has devoted his life to serving Lewiston — as a firefighter, fire chief, city councilor, community volunteer, and state legislator. He knows Lewiston, how to listen and work with others, and how to bring people together to find common ground.
During part of my 10 years as a city employee, I worked closely with Mike when he was on the council. He is a dedicated public servant and an honest, straightforward leader who worked tirelessly to make Lewiston a better and safer place for all.
As a state representative, he has focused on addressing important issues like increasing funding for public education, improving conditions for workers, and lowering drug costs for seniors.
Lewiston could have no stronger voice in the Legislature, and I hope the voters of House District 96 join me in sending him back to Augusta.
Edward Barrett, Lewiston
