Robert “Bob” Romeo Cote

SABATTUS – Robert “Bob” Romeo Cote, 62, of Sabattus passed away Wednesday Oct. 23, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.

Bob was born in Lewiston on Feb. 24, 1962 to Laurent and Adrienne (Caron) Cote. He married the love of his life, Solange “Sally” Saindon on April 27, 1984 and was married for 40 wonderful years. They had one daughter, Heather Cote and one granddaughter, Aileah Cote.

Bob was educated in the Lewiston school system. As a young teenager, Bob started working in the woods with his father, and then at Belanger’s Dairy farm before joining the City of Lewiston, Public Works Department where he remained for 33 years.

Bob loved spending time with his family and friends camping, snowmobiling, and ATV riding. He was an avid hunter with his wife and various friends, and especially enjoyed ice fishing with his granddaughter, Aileah. He loved working with his hands and was known to be a “Jack of all trades”. His favorite past time was riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle with his wife.

Bob is survived by his wife, Solange (Saindon) Cote; his daughter, Heather Cote; granddaughter, Aileah Cote; and his sister, Nancy Cote. He also leaves his father-in-law, Donald Saindon; sister-in-law, Muriel and her husband Gilman Michaud, his brother-in-law, Norman and his wife Amy Saindon, his sister-in-law, Laurie-Ann and her wife Brenda Byram; as well as nieces and nephews including Alexander Corey, Nicholas Corey, Amanda and Jason Breton, Derek Michaud, Colby Gary, Emily Gary, Cassidy Saindon, Carissa Saindon, Amanda Ouellette.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Laurent and Adrienne (Caron) Cote; and grandparents Louis and Wilhelmine Caron, and Maurice and Alma Cote; and his mother-in-law, Carmen Saindon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at The Fortin and Pinette Group, 217 Turner St., Auburn, on Sunday Nov. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 67 Frost Hill Ave., Lisbon Falls.
