PARIS — The Paris Public Library plans to host the No Shelf-Control Author Showcase from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Deering Memorial Community Center, 39 Main St.
Those who attend can meet and chat with various Maine authors, who will share morning and afternoon readings. There will be gift bags for guests (while supplies last), as well as a door prize.
Founded by Mid Coast Maine authors Danielle Bannister and Carley Packard (a former Oxford Hills resident), No Shelf-Control’s November South Paris session is the first outside of the mid-coast area.
It includes historical fiction authors Irene Drago (“Daughters of Long Reach,” “Lavinia Wren and the Sailmakers,” “The Maine Point”), women’s fiction author Carley Packard (the River Runs North series), romance author Danielle Bannister (“Girl on Fire,” “Safe House”), memoir author Brenda E Smith (“Becoming Fearless”), dark romance author Kerry Bernard (“Drained”), and local author Pat Gott (“Cowgirl Country” and “Buck, The Plight of a Pryor Mountain Mustang”).
