LIVERMORE — A Livermore Falls man was seriously injured early Monday evening on state Route 4 when the motorcycle he was driving and a pickup truck collided.

Brian Dubord, 30, was heading north on the roadway, also known as Federal Road, when a Chevrolet pickup driven by Michael Perry, 60, of Livermore was heading south, Chief Deputy William Gagne of the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office wrote in an email Tuesday.

The truck was preparing to make a left turn onto River Road, just after the Livermore Falls Memorial Bridge that spans the Androscoggin River.

Perry told police he thought the headlight on the motorcycle was a lamp at the end of a driveway and made his turn in front of the motorcycle, Gagne wrote.

“The two vehicles collided, and the operator of the motorcycle obtained major injuries to his leg and arm,” he wrote.

He was taken by LifeFlight of Maine to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He was last known to be in stable condition, Gagne wrote.

The highway was closed for nearly four hours after the crash, which was reported at 5:31 p.m.

Among agencies assisting Androscoggin County, were Livermore Falls police and fire rescue, Livermore fire rescue departments and MaineHealth EMS ambulance personnel. Lewiston Police Department assisted with the crash scene reconstruction.
