PERU – Patricia Linnell Wing, 86, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, at the Sandy River Center in Farmington. She was a resident of East Shore Road at Worthley Pond in Peru.
Patricia was born in Mexico, on Aug. 22, 1938, and was a daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Wilson) Richards. She was a graduate of Mexico High School and worked for the Oxford Paper Company and as a Medical Transcriptionist for Dr. Albert Royal and the Rumford Community Hospital. For many years, she owned the Merry Go Round, a children’s resale clothing boutique in Rumford. She was a member of the Dixfield Congregational Church and the Peru Mother’s Club Sunshine Circle. Patricia loved her family and enjoyed cooking, traveling, and going for rides.
Patricial married Reginald Wing on Aug. 22, 1990, in Dixfield. She is survived by Reginald; her sons, Andrew Irish and wife Kathy of Peru; Jeffrey Irish and wife Rhonda of Jay; Jamie Ruff of Jay; stepsons, Randall W. Wing of Dixfield and Ronald W. Wing and wife Christene Nagy of The Dales, Oregon; grandchildren Jason (Libby) Irish, Nicole (Dean) Knowles, Allyson (Ed) McCarty, Benjamin (Rachel) Irish, Shannon (Tristan) Coffin, and Matthew (fiance Brittany) Irish and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Bolduc and husband Peter of Cape Elizabeth; and brother Randy Richards of Byron; stepchildren Doug, Andy, and Thomas Linnell, and Sara Linnell Patno, as well as her nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by stepsons Reginald and Robert Wing; stepdaughter Jennifer Linnell; former husband Frank Linnell; brother Charles Richards; sister Betty Barrett; brother-in-law Walston Barrett; and sister-in-law Lovina Bryant. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., noon, on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at the Dixfield Congregational Church. Visiting hours will be at the Church from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., prior to the funeral; a light finger food lunch will be served. Interment will be in the Knight Cemetery in Peru. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
