NORWAY — Police are investigating a bomb threat Tuesday at the Dunkin’ coffee shop just before noon.
The business at 60 Fair St. was cleared and administrators at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School directly across the street kept everyone in place while police and firefighters investigated. Police cleared the scene at 12:21 p.m.
School Resource Officer Tim Holland received a call from Norway police about the incident, and school administrators were advised to keep everyone in place as a precaution.
“All doors without alarms were covered by administration, Officer Holland was watching all exterior cameras and Norway and Paris PD responded,” Principal Paul Bickford said. Students remained in classrooms and continued their day, he said.
Bickford announced the incident to parents in an email about 1 p.m.
Norway police Cpl. Robert Federico said the threat is still under investigation and further details are not available at this time.
