NORWAY — Oxford Hills Technical School is set to host its 14th annual Oxford Hills Tech Challenge on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 256 Main St.

Students from 20 career and technical programs participate in skill-specific competitions and demonstrations for parents, community members, and others.

Among the competitions and demonstrations are building mock-ups, movie making, vehicle diagnostics, vehicle painting, welding, pipe design, T-shirt design, PLC programming, a chili and baking contest, bicycle painting, cooking contest, wood burning, excavator operation, computer troubleshooting and coding, business planning, vacation planning, product prototype and advertisement, residential house and ADU meets ADA dwelling designs, ECE Story Book, fascinator design, a crime scene forensic scenario, a poetry contest, and Allied Health demonstrations, according to a news release from Randy Crockett, school director.

Competitions will be held throughout the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School campus. The competitions are ongoing and concurrent, so people can visit as many different programs for as long as they are able. The event will begin at 3 p.m.; an awards/medal ceremony will be held at 6 p.m.
