JAY – Malcolm A. “Mackie” Turner, 92, of Jay, died Wednesday morning at his home surrounded by family. He was born May 1, 1932, a son of Andrew and Thelma Colburn Turner and received his education in local schools.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was the Recipient of Korean Service Medalion Bronze Star Device.
On June 9, 1951, he married Marilyn Robinson at Bean’s Corner in Jay and they made their home and worked on the Turner Family Farm on Soules Hill in Jay for many years.
Public memorial services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. from the Bean’s Corner Baptist Church, Jay, with Rev. Ira Hall, officiating. A comfort reception will follow services.
