AUBURN – Judith D. Kuhn, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday Jan. 4, 2025, at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn, Maine.
Judy was born in Kalamazoo, Mich. on Jan. 21, 1938. She was the daughter of Ruth and Clifford Davis. She graduated from JW Sexton High School in 1955. In 1959 She got her BA in English and French from Central Michigan University.
Her 35-year teaching career started with 10 years in Michigan then continued with 25 years in the Rumford School system. She retired in 1996.
In 1969 she joined RAAPA and soon after was named the director. She continued to be the director until she moved out of Rumford in 2014.
During Judy’s 45 years in Rumford, she was the organist at many area churches. When she moved to Auburn in 2014, she became the organist at the United Methodist Church of Auburn.
Judy is survived by her daughter Angela (Scott) Oliver of Cumberland; her brother Rick (Susan) Davis of Orlando, Fla.; and her niece Meegan Broll of Cary, NC.
The funeral is scheduled for Saturday Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Auburn, located on Park Ave. There will be a private interment in the spring.
Angela would like to thank the doctors and nurses at CMMC for the incredible care her Mother received. Also, to the staff at the Andwell Hospice House who provided such a peaceful place for her final hours.
