Chloee Bennett tallied 15 points to lead the way Buckfield charged past Pine Tree Academy 48-22 in a girls basketball contest Thursday in Buckfield.
Kianna Finnegan made two 3-pointers and finished with 10 points for the Bucks (13-3), while Sarae Devoe added nine points.
Chantal Mbonimpa scored eight points for the Breakers (7-8).
POLAND 61, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 33: Charlotte Grenier led the way as the Knights (11-4) overmatched the Seagulls (3-12) in Poland.
Grenier hit three 3-pointers and scored a game-best 15 points. Payton Rose added 10 points, while Alaina Hamlin (three 3s), Phoebe Paradis and Ruby Taylor each finished with nine points.
Corinne Androkitis was Old Orchard Beach’s top scorer with 14 points, and Tessa Ferguson had 11.
NYA 46, ST. DOMINIC 32: Ella Giguere hit three 3-pointers and scored 18 points and the Panthers (9-6) beat the Saints (10-5) in Yarmouth.
Ava Wilkinson added 10 points for North Yarmouth Academy.
Juju Farrington (three 3s) had 14 points for St. Dominic, Charli Apodaca scored nine.
BOYS BASKETBALL
BUCKFIELD 78, PINE TREE ACADEMY 56: Trenton Haskell scored 10 of his 17 points in the first quarter, and the Bucks (8-9) beat the Breakers (9-6) in Buckfield.
Ryder Bragg and Krosby Harvey each added 15 points, Gaven Parsons had 14 and Brayden Monto 10 for Buckfield.
Collin Verrill poured in a game-high 26 for Pine Tree. Colby Solberg added 10.
MT. ABRAM 66, MADISON 37: Bryce Wilcox scored a game-high 17 points, and the Roadrunners (16-1) pulled away in the second quarter to beat the Bulldogs (9-8) in Madison.
Mt. Abram outscored Madison 21-5 in the second, turning an 11-8 lead into a 32-13 halftime advantage.
Chase Ross, who drained four 3-pointers, and Brennan Mitchell each finished with 14 points for the Roadrunners, who remain in first place in the Class C South Heal standings.
Jacob Linkletter led the Bulldogs with nine points, and Davyn Nichols had eight.
POLAND 54, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 40: Jake Jamo had 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists as the Knights (11-4) beat the Seagulls (6-9) in Old Orchard.
Damon Martin was one rebound shy of a triple double, racking up 16 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds for Poland, while Nick Jamo had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Trot Moody scored 12 points, Riley Provencher had 11 and Brady Plante 10 for Old Orchard Beach.
RICHMOND 61, RANGELEY 49: Leeum Dufresne made four 3-pointers in the second quarter, during which the Bobcats (9-7) scored 28 points to pull away from the Lakers (4-12) in Rangeley.
Dufresne finished with 14 points for Richmond. David Edwards added 16 points, Zander Steele had 11 and Ben Fournier 10 for the Bobcats.
Sam Morrill scored a game-high 27 points for Rangeley. Brayden Thompson added 12.
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 66, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 27: Jace Bessey put up a game-high 38 points to lead the Phoenix over the Falcons in Jay.
The Spruce Mountain (14-3) senior made seven 3-pointers, including four during his 16-point second quarter. Owen Kelvey added eight points and Austin Armandi had seven for the Phoenix.
Ben Desalle tallied 14 points and Tanner Henry had nine for Mountain Valley (3-14).
ST. DOMINIC 76, NYA 19: Taylor Varney scored 12 points as the Saints (14-1) rolled to a win over the Panthers (0-14) in Yarmouth.
Brady Blash, Daniel Iwuanyanwu and Jonathan Tangilamesu each added nine points.
Lado Loboka scored 10 points for North Yarmouth Academy.
