AUBURN – Shirley N. Huff, 82, of Norway passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at Andwell Hospice House in Auburn. She was born in Norway on Nov. 18, 1942, the daughter of George and Irene Newcomb. She attended Norway High School, where she was active playing sports, graduating in 1961. Shirley loved to water ski around Norway Lake and ride horses at her grandparents and fathers farm. She spent many years organizing and running Woodsmen’s Day at Oxford County Fair with her brother Bill.
Shirley married Charlie Huff, Jr., they enjoyed 55 years of marriage. She started in real estate at Century 21 and then successfully started and ran Oxford Hills Reality until her retirement a few years ago. She also enjoyed golfing, and time spent with family at camp on Norway Lake or in Wilsons Mills. Memorable trips that Shirley took were a trip to Australia with her brother, and a canoe trip on the Green River with her girlfriends. Shirley took great pride in her twin granddaughters over the years, attending their sporting events, school activities and was especially proud when they both graduated college and started their careers. She always enjoyed a visit from them and her grand dogs, Brandy and Barker. Many will have fond memories of gathering in Shirley’s kitchen at the farm, especially during November.
