Alphee J. Caron

CANTON – Alphee J. Caron, 78, a resident of Hartford passed away Wednesday April 20, 2022 at the Pinnacle Health Center following a long illness.

He was born in Lewiston Dec. 31, 1943, the son of Louis H. and Wilhelmine (St. Laurent) Caron.

Alphee was employed for over 34 years for the former Seltzer-Rydholm, and was also employed for several years at Geiger Brothers before his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing and clamming as well as spending time with his family.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Gammon and husband Tracy of Hartford; and two sisters, Jeannette Benson of Mechanic Falls, and Rita Mathieu and husband Andre of Lewiston. Also surviving are two grandsons, Gregory and Kenneth Dunn; as well as five great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by five sisters and four brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Alphee’s life will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday April 27 at the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul lower chapel. Committal prayers to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
