Blistered Fingers Bluegrass Festival plans to celebrate its 58th festival Thursday-Sunday, June 15-18, at the Litchfield Fairgrounds, 30 Plains Road, in Litchfield. Festival hours are 4-9 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and a free Gospel Sing and Jam set for 10-11 a.m. Sunday.

The festival grounds have a big stage that was built in 2010, indoor bathroom facilities, four free hot showers and numerous water hookups throughout the grounds, and electrical hookups. There will be several types of vendors located on the grounds. The festival location has that ‘Welcome Home’ Country atmosphere. “Everyone who attends loves our camping grounds. We also have a lot of Field picking through the whole time of the festival.” said Sandy Cormier, the promoter of the festival along with her husband, Greg Cormier.

This year’s event will feature the Blistered Fingers Kids Academy, a free, relaxed, informative three-day music program for children for ages 6-18. The focus is how to play, sing and perform bluegrass music. Students can bring their own instruments and will commit to the three day program. The children all get a free T-shirt and perform a couple of songs as a group on Main stage.
The gates will open at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 11, for Early Bird camping.

Weekend tickets for the festival will cover four days of music and camping from Thursday to Saturday and Sunday Morning Gospel Sing Along and Jam.
Performers include: The Gibson Brothers, Nothin’ Fancy, Zink & Company, Rock Hearts, Katahdin Valley Boys, Cedar Ridge, Hosmer Mountain Boys, Ruta Beggars, Robinson’s Bluegrass Gospel, Sunday Morning and your host band Blistered Fingers.
Tickets cost $25 for Thursday only, $40 for Friday or Saturday only, or $100 for a weekend pass.
