Eric Archibald

DIXFIELD – Eric Archibald, 37, died unexpectedly in Jay on Friday, March 15, 2024. He was a resident of Dixfield.

Eric was born in Portland, on Oct. 21, 1986, and was a son of the late Scott Archibald and Donna Woods (Thompson). He attended Marshwood Schools and was a graduate of Dirigo High School. Eric worked at Hannaford in Jay and was part of the Hannaford family for almost 20 years. He was an avid sports enthusiast, tracking all the local and professional teams. Eric also enjoyed walks in his neighborhood, extending a friendly hello to his neighbors. Family was nearest to his heart. He loved family gatherings and celebrations.

Eric is survived by his mother Donna Thompson and husband James, brother Nathan Archibald and wife Sarah, James Thompson and wife Kayla, Matthew Thompson and Hannah Royce, and John Thompson and wife Kim, sisters, Crystal O’Connor and husband AJ, Staci Hamilton, and Amanda Thompson, paternal grandmother Celia Archibald, and his stepmother Janine Archibald, and many nieces and nephews. He touched so many people’s hearts with his friendliness. He will be dearly missed.
