CASCO — The Casco Village Church, United Church of Christ is hosting our June “Strawberry Shortcake” Saturday Night Supper on, Saturday, June 29 from 4:30-6 p.m. This month’s dinner will be beans, casseroles, salads, rolls, beverages, and fresh strawberry shortcakes! CASCO — The Casco Village Church, United Church of Christ is hosting our annual “Open Air Fair/Flea Market on Saturday, July 13, from 8-1 p.m. and we would love to have you join us! Tables are $25 and are 8 ft. with space to walk around them. Please call the office as soon as possible at 207-627-4282 to reserve your spot or email Sue Ackroyd at suea21@msn.com. This year’s event will feature our usual vendors, flea market, food booth, coffee & donuts, auction board, raffle calendar, and flower sale! We look forward to seeing you! HARRISON — It is that time of the year! The Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church will sell our famous chicken pies and gravy on the third Saturday of the month until further notice. This month’s sale will be on this Saturday, June 15. Orders for pies will be taken only on the morning of the 15th by calling the Church at 583-9024 between 9 and 11 a.m. Do not leave a message.
Chicken pies must be picked up at the Church, 664 Bolsters Mills Road in Bolsters Mills Village, Harrison between 1 and 2 p.m., unless arrangements are made when placing the order. A famous chicken pie with gravy is $15. Multiple pies may be ordered; however, we cannot always guarantee that we can honor large quantities. The chicken pies are fully cooked and can be frozen and reheated for a future meal.
Lunch
OTISFIELD — On Wednesday, June 19 from 11:30-12:30 Otisfield’s Community Lunch is happening at the Community Hall, 292 Route 121. On the menu this month is Chicken a la King on biscuits, peas, assorted salads, cupcakes, lemonade, and coffee. The lunch is free; donations are appreciated. This is the main outreach activity of the Social Outreach Committee; bringing people together to get to know one another. Please consider inviting a friend or neighbor.
Alongside lunch in the past, we’ve had plant swaps, puzzle swaps, book swaps, recipe swaps, stuff swaps, and craft sales. If you have an idea to generate interest and interaction, please call or text Elaine at 461-1995 or email at dobleverrill@gmail.com.
