Many drivers no longer respect traffic laws in Auburn.

People routinely drive 15 to 25 mph over the speed limit, catch up to me, and then tailgate me if we happen to be in a no-passing situation. I experience that behavior almost every time I drive.

Drivers also routinely run red lights. I see examples of that every few days, and have seen it done by huge tractor trailer trucks.

I drive about 10,000 miles per year. That comes out to around 250 hours. To me, it seems impossible that police do not see flagrant speeders and red-light-runners several times per day.

I am quite certain our police are not paying attention. They are not doing what they are paid to do. They do not give tickets to all traffic law violators when they see a violation.
