TURNER – Ray E.Henderson, 78, of Turner, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was born August 5, 1946, in Waterville, the son of Francis and Christine (Haines) Henderson. He attended school in Stratton.
On Dec. 14, 1974, in Livermore, he married Audrey Bragdon of Greene. He worked as a tool cutter for Maynard Machine and Tool in Ashburnham, Mass. from 1990 until his retirement in 2014. They returned to Maine and made their home in Turner. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Henderson of Turner; his daughters, Penelope Farley and husband Mark of Brandon, Fla., Jerilyn Barbas and husband Mike of Clinton, Mass., and Pamela Ciabattoni and husband Mike of Newark, Del., 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Faris Fletcher and husband Wayne of New Vineyard, and Morris Henderson and wife Linda of Rangeley.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Robert, George, and Lee Henderson and his sister Ellen.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, at North Livermore Baptist Church, 619 Federal Road, Livermore, Maine. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. A private burial at a later date will be at the New Eustis Cemetery-Stratton New Cemetery, Route 27, Eustis, Maine.
