Malik Grant scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 1-yard run with 12:25 left, and No. 15 Rhode Island beat Maine, 24-14, in a Coastal Athletic Association football game Saturday in Kingston, Rhode Island.

Maine (4-4, 2-3 CAA) tied it at 14-14 when Brian Santana-Fis scored on a 4-yard run four seconds into the fourth. The Rams (7-1, 4-0), though, quickly answered with a six-play, 61-yard drive.

Ty Groff added a 35-yard field with 6:04 left.

The Black Bears took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when Carter Peevy throw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Heisey. Devin Farrell had a pair of touchdown runs in the second quarter to give the Rams a halftime lead.

Peevy finished 29 of 39 for 279 yards. Farrell completed 13 of 24 passes for 202 yards while rushing nine times for 19 yards.

BATES 21, MIDDLEBURY 20: Colton Bosselait threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Sergio Beltran with 5:22 left and Marcos Ruiz made the extra point as the Bobcats (2-5) upset the Panthers (5-2) in Lewiston.

Bosselait threw a 9-yard TD pass to Maverick Selementi in the first quarter as Bates took a 7-0 lead. Middlebury answered in the second when Zach Levy kicked a 30-yard field goal and Cody Weitzman scored on a 9-yard run.

Bosselait put Bates back in front with a 27-yard TD pass to Beltran later in the second, but Middlebury’s Connor McClellan scored on a 1-yard run in the third, and Levy kicked a 25-yard field goal early in the fourth to make it 20-14.

Bosselait completed 13 of 15 passes for 173 yards.

COLBY 16, HAMILTON 13: Miles Drake threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Keon Smart with 1:18 left to give the Mules (3-4) a win over the Continentals (0-7)  in Clinton, New York.

Chris Tzoumakas kicked a 37-yard field goal early in the third quarter to tie it for Colby. He booted a pair of field goals in the first quarter (35 and 28 yards).

Carmelo Velardo kicked two field goals and Luke Kurzum scored on an 11-yard run in the second quarter to give Hamilton the lead.

UNE 51, NICHOLS 30: The Nor’easters (3-4, 1-1 Commonwealth Coast) rushed for 251 yards and four touchdowns on their way to a win over the Bison (3-4, 0-2) in Dudley, Massachusetts.

Nathan Delgado rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns, while Damien Jones and Jarrett Henault each ran for 71 yards and a score. Chris Lang completed 17 of 21 passes for 200 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Delgado also caught four passes for 52 yards, while Berto Zepeda had three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown.

Jayden Prophete made two interceptions and Evan Hazard had one for the Nor’easters.

TRINITY 34, BOWDOIN 14: Zander Zebrowski threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns as the Bantams (6-1) beat the Polar Bears (2-5) in Hartford, Connecticut.

Trinity’s Sean Clapp caught six passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns.

Peter Macaulay threw touchdown passes to Austin Hiscoe (6 yards) and Jed Hoggard (34 yards) for Bowdoin.

HUSSON 35, CURRY 34: Lavar Hunter scored on a 5-yard run and Max Clark passed to Caleb Solomon for the 2-point conversion with 25 seconds left to lift the Eagles (5-2, 2-0 CNE) over the Colonels (2-5, 0-2) in Milton, Massachusetts.

Curry took a 34-27 lead with 1:54 left when Montie Quinn scored on a 20-yard run. Husson answered with a seven-play, 75-yard drive, then secured the win when Kane Smith intercepted a pass.

Clark completed 22 of 31 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Jed Lober rushed 20 times for 148 yards and a touchdown, while Hunter had 81 yards rushing and two scores. Nason Berthelette caught seven passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

Quinn rushed for 258 yards and two touchdowns for Curry.
