Diane Getz said she needs help this year from individuals and groups or there will not be a Memorial Day parade. “No one can do this by themselves, so if the towns of Livermore, Jay and Livermore Falls want to see a parade this year, volunteers are needed,” she said.
This is the community’s parade. It may take a little effort to plan and build a float, but groups like sport teams, school bands, the SMART robotics team, AYS and other organizations are being asked to step up and agree to march or ride.
The parade usually features fire departments and police cars, but businesses, volunteers and local town officials can also participate. Memorial Day is Monday, May 28.
