AUBURN — Cynthia R. Bosse, 71, of 16 Brentwood Drive, Auburn, died June 13 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn, after a courageous battle with kidney cancer.
Born in Lewiston on Sept. 9, 1946, she was the daughter of Rene and Filomena Talarico Beaulieu. Rene worked as a janitor in the Auburn school system, and Filomena worked for most of her career at Luiggi’s Pizzeria. Educated locally, Cynthia graduated from Edward Little High School in 1964, and later received a bachelor’s degree in education from Gorham State College of the University of Maine. Cynthia worked for decades as a math teacher at Edward Little High School in the Auburn School Department, retiring in 2012. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and knitting projects, reading, camping with her family, going to the beach at Sebago Lake and Reid State Park, floating in her pool, and collecting all things cows. She valued spending time with her family, including her grandchildren, children, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She cherished many lifelong friendships with childhood friends, her neighbors, and a group of teachers she enjoyed spending time with while teaching and in retirement. She was also devoted to her two cats, who were her companions for 20 years.
A member of St. Philip’s Church, she is survived by her husband, Regis Bosse, of Pataskala, Ohio, two sons, Michael Bosse and wife Luana Donatelli of Scarborough, and Kristopher Bosse and wife Kirstin Leitner of Philadelphia, Pa., two daughters, Nikki Bosse of Hebron, and Kimberly and husband Patrick Livingstone of Holderness, N.H., a brother, Steven Beaulieu of Augusta, and nine grandchildren, Sam, Gabriella, Isabella, Joseph, Griffin, Taylor, Dylan, Morgan and Charlotte.
